Objectives

NREN INFRASTRUCTURE AND FACILITIES

To introduce the NREN infrastructure and facilities for the farmers through website-based system in the countries connected with Asi@connect.

INFORMATION ON AGRICULTURAL DISEASE

To carry out the survey for qualitative information on agricultural disease management in six countries including Afghanistan (AF), Cambodia (KH), Laos (LA), Philippines (PH) and Bangladesh (BD).

DEVELOP SOFTWARE

To develop software for automatic plant disease detection and classification using ANN, advanced image processing and the IoT based cloud server of NREN system.

APPLY ADVANCE IMAGE PROCESSING FEATURES

To apply advance image processing features with filtering and wavelet de-noising for plant disease detection and classification of main crops including rice, jute, wheat, soybean and maize in Asia.

ESTABLISH THE REAL TIME MONITORING TECHNIQUE

To establish the real time monitoring technique to manage the plant disease in the field through IoT based facilities of NREN networking

DEVELOP THE EARLY WARNING SYSTEM

To develop the early warning system of plant health using ANN model with the NREN system.

ANALYZE AND SHARE DISEASE DATA

To analyze and share disease data passing smoothly through all the stages of collection, recording, transfer, digitisation, harmonisation, validation, analysis and sharing through cloud server.

ASSESS THE PLANT HEALTH RISK

To assess the plant health risk with identification of the physiological changes of plant due to the pathogen impacts.

Project Introduction

Research on agricultural pathological diseases of main crop of five countries in Asi@connect including Afghanistan (AF), Cambodia (KH), Laos (LA), Philippines (PH) and Bangladesh (BD) of Asia. Training and Focus Group Discussion and in-depth interview will be conducted with the farmers, research specialists (Especially pathological expert) of the agricultural research council of these countries for plant disease detection and classification through NREN services.
